Merili Loucks has never shied away from opportunities — even during the housing market crash of 2008. When it resulted in significantly lower-priced homes in Fresno’s historic Tower District, Merili bought a property there, flipped it, and earned her real estate license not long afterward. Today, Merili still flips properties and invests in them while helping families and investors find their own opportunities and achieve their goals.
Originally from Croatia, Merili’s backstory is much like many other immigrant families who migrated to the U.S. for a better life. She credits her parents for all the advantages she’s had, including graduating from California State University, Fresno, with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. A true creative, Merili went on to launch her dream art gallery, a challenging yet rewarding experience that made her realize her tenacious mentality. Merili’s background further taught her the fundamentals of building trust and meeting deadlines and goals. As a real estate agent, she forges strong relationships and gives her all throughout the process and beyond.
Merili represents all clients and finds equal reward in doing so, with many of them being first-time buyers, upsizers, retirees, and relocators in Fresno, Clovis, Kerman, Madera, Sanger, Hanford, Dunlap, and Squaw Valley. Being an advocate for short-term rental investments, she was inspired to take advantage of the tiny-house trend and earn her Accessory Dwelling Unit certification.
One of Merili’s passions is helping families learn more about tiny homes. She also loves architecture, painting, and travel. Art remains a major part of her life, so she enjoys volunteering for fundraising efforts at the Fresno Art Museum.
