Man killed while trying to cross road
Tucson, AZ - A man was killed Friday night when he was hit by a car while trying to walk across a busy street north of Downtown.
The man stepped into westbound traffic on West Grant Road just west of North Oracle Road around 7 p.m. and was struck by a white sport utility vehicle, said Sgt. Mark Robinson, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.
The man, who had not been identified, was not crossing in a crosswalk.
