Armed men attempt a home invasion
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an attempted home invasion that occurred Sunday night near South Sandario Road and West Ajo Way.
Six armed men in ski masks, dark clothing and body armor approached a 10-member family, including children, outside their home in the 8200 block of South Alice Vail Lane at about 8:45 p.m., spokeswoman Deputy Dawn Barkman said. The family members said the men were toting weapons, possibly AK-47s, she said.
